Kicking off our Sale Sharks partnership with rugby legend Mark Cueto

To celebrate the start of our partnership with Sale Sharks, rugby legend Mark Cueto MBE joined guests at Together HQ for an exclusive dinner and informal Q&A with the former British Lion.

Following our announcement in April, we are now an official sponsor of the Sharks, who are recognised as one of Europe’s leading rugby union clubs.

The deal will span the next two seasons and will include shirt sponsorship and Together’s presence at the Sale Sharks fan zone during home matches, as well as a host of other opportunities with the premiership club.

At the exclusive dinner, former England international Mark Cueto, who won 55 international caps during his illustrious playing career and was called up to the join the British and Irish Lions during their last tour to New Zealand in 2005, gave an insider’s view on the challenges facing this year’s Lions team, who are currently playing a test series against New Zealand.

He was joined by Sale Sharks player David Seymour, who shared insights on what’s ahead for the Sharks this season and answered questions from the guests; many of whom were avid Sale Sharks supporters.

Stephen Luty, our corporate development director who hosted the event said: “It was a real privilege to have Mark Cueto and David Seymour join us for the evening. The guests all really enjoyed it and it was a fantastic start to our partnership.”

Mark Cueto, who is commercial director at Sale Sharks, tweeted: “Great event tonight. Here’s to a great season – thanks for your support.”

Historically based in Sale, the Sharks home ground is now the AJ Bell Stadium, and they compete in the Aviva Premiership, having played in England's top flight since 1994.
