Common questions about Unregulated Buy to Let Portfolio Mortgages for Intermediaries
Do you accept portfolio landlord cases?
Yes. We accept portfolio landlord cases across residential and commercial property, in personal names or through a limited company or SPV, with no limit on portfolio size or value.
How do you assess affordability on portfolio cases?
We assess primarily on rental cover. Where the rental income covers the payments, we won't apply a separate affordability assessment. We can also consider your client's wider income and will accept projected rental figures pre-completion.
What property types will you consider within a portfolio?
We're specialists in non-standard property, including ex-council, high-rise, uninhabitable stock, HMOs, holiday lets and semi-commercial units. If you have an unusual case, send it over and we'll take a view.
Can clients release equity or consolidate across a portfolio?
Yes. Second charge options let clients release equity from an existing portfolio to fund a new purchase, and multiple payments can be consolidated into one monthly repayment.
How do I submit a portfolio Buy to Let case?
If you have a packager agreement with Together, head to MBV to submit your case.
If you're a member of one of Together's registered Networks and Clubs, log into the portal.
If you're unsure, get in touch with the team and we'll guide you through.
