How to apply

Firstly, you’ll need to complete an online application form. We ask for contact details, work experience and some optional demographic information along with your CV.

At the application stage you’ll also be asked whether you require any reasonable adjustments to support you through the interview process.

Great, you have applied. What happens next?

Whilst we may receive too many applications to speak to everyone individually, a member of our Talent Team will always contact candidates whose experience fits the role requirements via telephone and email.

Typically, you can expect an initial telephone call to provide an overview of the company, the team and the role that you’ve applied for. Your Talent Partner will aim to answer all of your questions and support you throughout the recruitment process.

If your experience does not fit this particular role, we’ll always inform you of this via email.

An informal chat with the hiring manager

Depending on the role, you may be invited to a more relaxed chat with the Hiring Manager. This may either be prior to the interview via Microsoft Teams, or as a follow up meeting in our office after your formal interview.

The Interview

This is a traditional and formal face to face interview at our office in Cheadle. You’ll meet the Hiring Manager and another member of the wider team. Typically, this will take one hour. This stage can vary depending on the role, but it may include a task or presentation, which will either be given to you on the day or provided in advance. You can expect to be asked some questions that relate directly to the technical requirements of the role, and some competency based questions that relate to our core beliefs;

  • Respect for people
  • Doing the right thing
  • Being accountable

Don’t worry! You’ll be given examples of these questions prior to the interview!

What happens now?

If you are unsuccessful following the interview, we’ll always endeavour to provide feedback.

If you are successful, being a regulated Financial Services business, we adhere to the highest standard of background checks, aligning to legal and industry requirements.

We use Experian to conduct these checks, which can take between 1-3 weeks. They include a DBS check, identity check, fraud check, credit check (which doesn’t affect your credit score), sanctions file check, and three years of employment referencing.

This is a very straight forward process, which we can support you through.

If you feel you'd benefit from any support or reasonable adjustments during any stage of the recruitment process, please don’t hesitate to let us know by informing our Talent Team or whilst completing your application. We’ll always do whatever we can to ensure that you’re at your best throughout the process.

Examples of adjustments that we can provide include:

  • Additional time to complete assessments or interviews.
  • Scheduling interview times that fit with candidate requirements.
  • Providing interview questions in advance or in written format during the interview.
  • Providing information about assessments during a briefing call.
  • Anything else? Please just tell us what you need!

If you intend attending the interview with the aid of a wheelchair or similar, please inform your Talent Partner so that we can make any relevant adjustments.
